What are you hoping for this Christmas?

This week, as we enter the Advent season, we celebrate Hope.

It’s easy to think that if we could find the perfect gift, host the perfect family celebration, sculpt the perfect wintery snowman, that all will be well—that the joy and peace we long for will come wrapped up beautifully in charmed occasions.

But God knows—we need more.

While there is delight in gifting and family, He knows the greatest gift we can receive is a restored relationship with Him. He knows that what we truly long for will only come from our Savior—the One who promises to come, to forgive our failures, to make us fully whole, and reunite us with the heart of God.

Can we hope that this Savior, this Messiah, will keep His promises? Would a virgin conceive and bear a Son (Isaiah 7:14)? Would He be our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6–7)? Would He truly bring Light into the darkness (Isaiah 42:16)?

We pray that you'll have true Hope this season. Hope in the One who never breaks His promises. Hope in the One who brings true peace, true restoration, true freedom.

While you may know us as the creators of Light of the World, our true mission at Salvation Poem Project is to share the story of Jesus through beautiful art that inspires others to know Him and put their full hope in Him.

We’re working hard this season to translate the film into as many languages as possible (we’re up to 13!), so we can share His story beautifully around the world.
